Competition Winners

The contest entries, created by baked-good lovers from throughout Metro Vancouver, were original bread or muffin recipes baked with Rogers flour, any variety, in four categories. All winners received a gift basket featuring Rogers Flour and Cereal and Valentine’s Day products, plus additional items as outlined below:

1. Multi Grain Yeast Bread.

Winners:

1st: Gina Oleksiew, Richmond, for Onion Rye Bread.
Prize: valued at more than $200; includes Vacu-vin Innovations wine set, a gift certificate to Milestones, and sunglasses.

2nd: Samarra Lypka, Ladner, for ‘V8’ Bread.
Prize: valued at more than $150; includes Pyrex Grip Rite set, sunglasses, and BC Blueberry products.

3rd: Elsa Fogale, Burnaby, for Multi-grain Olive Onion Bread.
Prize: valued at more than $75; includes sunglasses.

2. Fruit/nuts/seeds.

Winners:

1st: Elsa Tod, Burnaby, for Sweet Potato Cinnamon Walnut Bread. Prize: valued at more than $200; includes Vacu-vin Innovations wine set, a George Foreman Grill, and sunglasses.

2nd: Elsa Fogale, Burnaby, for Nine Grain Raisin Loaf.
Prize: valued at more than $150; includes Pyrex 18-piece storage set, George Foreman Grill and sunglasses.

3rd: Maureen Sutton Macdonald, for Surrey, Cranberry Curl.
Prize: valued at more than $75; includes sunglasses.

3. Quick bread. Winners:

2nd: Lisa Gilles, Burnaby, for Fruit Filled Muffins.
